How to fix “Norton Support Core router suddenly stopped working” error?

Norton Core Router is Impressive device in both terms Design and function as well. The advanced security tools and parental controlling features add up to its functioning and performance. Though the cost of the device is quite high but it simply comprises of the unlimited subscription of the Norton antivirus software that extends the Protection layer to the devices.

Some of the common errors related to the Norton Core Router are related to setup issues, connection failed issues and sudden stopped working. One of the most common issues among these is when the device stops its functioning suddenly. In the below mentioned information, I am introducing some simple and easier steps to be followed by the user to fix this issue without putting too many efforts:

Step 1: check the Internet Connection:

  1. For checking the Internet connection, check the Status of the light below the device.
  2. If the light is off, then there is problem with the Power Connection.
  3. The “Amber solid” indicates the problem with internet connectivity. For that ensure that the LAN port of the modem-router combo is directly connected with the device.
  4. Check the Internet Connection
  5. If the light becomes solid white then follow the Step 2 Norton Core Router.

Step 2: Restart Norton Core:

  1. Explore the Norton Core App.
  2. To the top-left corner, tap the menu icon.
  3. Select SETTINGS >> ROUTER >> RESTART >> CONFIRM

The rapidly blinking of the router indicates it reset.

  1. The rapidness of blinking of the white light becomes slower, and ends up into solid white after waiting for one minute.
  2. Check whether your device is connected to Norton Core Network and internet is accessible or not.
  3. If the problem still retains on the device then go for the factory reset of the device.

Step 3: factory reset Norton Core:

  1. Explore the App of Norton Core.
  2. Tap the Menu icon on the top-left corner.
  3. Select SETTINGS >> ROUTER >> RESET >> Factory Reset
  4. Tap Reset >> Confirm

After the reset process gets completed, a welcome screen is displayed on the system.

  1. In the Welcome Screen >> Set Up Norton Core
  2. Follow the instructions displayed on the screen for setting up the Norton Core Router again.
  3. Check whether your device is connected to Norton Core Network and internet is accessible or not.
  4. If the problem still retains on the device then go for the factory reset of the device via reset button.

Step 4: Factory Reset via Reset button:

  1. Underneath the device, there is a button on the left-most side marked with a Rounded arrow, press this button for 10 sec and release it.
  2. The light will blink rapidly indicating the reset of the device.
  3. The rapidly blinking white light becomes slow and it will end in a solid white light.
  4. On the mobile device, explore the Norton Core App.
  5. In the Welcome Screen, select Set Up Norton Core and simply follow the on- screen instructions and set up it again.
  6. After this, again start the set-up of the device from the initial steps.
  7. After this again go for a check-up that your device can connect to the Norton Core Router and internet is accessible by the user.
