A Boston-based start-up named Cybereason, a cloud security platform, CrowdStrike, a next gen anti-virus software developers, Cylance alongside Illumio earned $100 million or more in past few months. Mr. Talpes founded his first anti-virus company named Softwin, 1989 while he was working as a computer science researcher in Bucharest. He told the FT in 2016, that he and his wife Marluca will remain majority shareholders in Softwin. He would only ask a minority investor for his company. This would be a preliminary step towards an initial public offering.
Bitdefender’s achievements are directly in line with what we seek for new investments, said Stephen Byrne. He also said that the support of exceptional management teams in business that shows an important opportunity to create strategic value.
